Costume Design Projects
Here are the costume design projects I have done in my Beginning Costume Design class, as well as personal projects. I have minimal experience as a costume designer, but I'm very open to trying my hand at it and learning.

Lynn Nottage's play focuses on Esther Mills, a Black seamstress in 1905 New York, who crafts beautiful lingerie while yearning for love. This assignment challenged me to explore themes of race, class, and intimacy while staying true to the play’s historical context.
Yasmina Reza's play is about 2 sets of parents who meet to resolve a fight between their sons, but quickly devolves into a hilariously chaotic and brutal fight. This assignment challenged me to explore themes of civilized veneer vs. primal nature, hypocrisy, and class warfare.
Naomi Iizuka’s play centers on Boom, a boy who escapes an abusive stepfather, entering a Japanese folklore-inspired quest to find his real father, Thunder. The themes I focused on for this assignment were self-discovery, family, and overcoming hardship. This design challenged me to focus on costumes for child actors, not just adult-sized bodies
The Wish Fairy
Carlton Saito’s short film follows a Wish Fairy who grants petty wishes until she meets a woman whose selfless wish ends suffering and makes her the new Wish Fairy. This design helped me to learn about budgeting and real-life experience in creating a vision to ultimately be brought to real life. Project set to film in early 2026.
